Hi, I’m Shawn

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage & Family Therapy from Antioch University in Los Angeles, California. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which approaches healing from the belief that emotions are strongly linked to identity. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, separated or divorced co-parents, couples and families. My work is rooted in attachment theory with a psychodynamic and humanistic orientation.

I provide psychotherapy to clients from diverse ethnicities and backgrounds and understand how ancestral and racial trauma play a critical role in our healing.  I appreciate clients who are committed to self-awareness, authenticity and curiosity. Together, we'll work to create new coping strategies to achieve both short and longterm goals. Every relationship in life, including the one with ourselves, has negative patterns that can inhibit growth and secure attachment. I will help you learn to name and navigate those patterns.

It takes courage to seek help, improve interpersonal relationships, and live authentically and responsibly. If you are open to a creative journey of discovery, reach out for a complimentary consultation. I work with adolescents, couples and families.   All sessions are conducted via Telehealth.
